ITINERARY
Day 1 | Canggu | Arrival Day
When you arrive at the airport our team will be waiting for you, simply look for the sign with your name on it. The drive into Canggu takes approximately 30 minutes. There are no activities planned during the day, plenty of time for you to relax and recover a bit from the journey. In the evening we will head out for a local meal where you will get to meet your fellow travelers and our team. We will be here for the first two days of the tour in the popular Batubolong area very close to the famous surfing spots of Canggu. There is lots of activity in this area with good bars, beach clubs, small boutiques, great restaurants and amazing surf. (D)

Day 2 | Batu Karu Temple to Canggu | 55km
Time to hit the trails! No need to pack up today as we will cycle all the way back to our charming accommodation in Canggu. An early transfer will bring us to Mount Batu Karu (2576m) which is the second highest mountain in Bali. We will visit the beautiful Batu Karu Temple at the foot of the volcano wearing traditional Balinese clothing (needed to enter the temple) which we will provide. This area of Bali is not frequently visited by tourist and will simply take your breath away. We will start riding from the temple to the Unesco listed rice paddy fields of Jatiluwih where we will have our first break. From here we will ride all the way back to coast through the most amazing rice paddy fields and local villages. Lunch is the delicious 'Babi Gulling' (sucking pig), the favorite dish of the Balinese. After the ride we can visit the famous Tanah Lot Temple. One of Bali’s most beautiful temples build on a rock in the ocean, at high tide the sea surrounds the temple. (B L)

Day 3 | Mount Abang to Amed | 50km
Today we pack up and go. For the next two nights we will be staying at Bali’s quiet North East Coast. Amed is a stretch of quaint beach side fishing villages stretching for about 10km along the dry and rugged northeastern coast of Bali. It's a world away from the busy tourist center in the South of Bali. Today's ride will bring us from Mount Abang in the center of Bali to Amed all the way in the North-East of the island. After a good warm up climb we will head into the rugged center of the island cycling through local fruit and cashew plantations. This area of Bali is very dry as it gets very little rain. The first 25km is off road until we hit the main road. From here it's another 25km to the charming fishing village of Amed. For those up for a good challenge we recommend to cycle all the way to the hotel, be aware there are a few good climbs along the way! Of course our support vehicle is always there if needed. Our accommodation is located right on the beach and there is great snorkeling in front of the hotel. Around 5pm we will head out with one of the local fisherman in a traditional wooden boat to witness the sunset from the water and maybe catch a few fish. (B L)

Day 4 | Snorkeling in Amed | Free Day
In the morning we will head out for a snorkeling trip to the Japanese shipwreck, the wreck is in shallow waters just off the beach at a dept of 6m.The snorkeling and diving in Amed are fantastic, with live coral, an abundance of fish and crystal clear waters at many of the beaches — this is a major reason that people come to the area. For those who can't get enough of riding the bikes we have a great optional 3 hour ride in this area along a beautiful coastal road with the most amazing views, just be aware it's very hilly in this area! Of course you can choose to just relax at the hotel, have a massage and sip on a few cocktails, this is your holiday after all :)  (B L)

Day 5 | Mount Abang to the coast | cycle 35km
Time to pack up and go again. For the next two nights we will be in Ubud – the cultural capital of Bali. The riding is a bit more technical today but nothing to serious and by now you are more confident on the bikes and familiar with the kind off terrain that we are riding here in Bali. We start with an early transfer from our hotel to the higher regions of the island, the volcanic core of the island. From the foot of Mount Abang we will start riding mostly downhill from 1600m above sea level all the way back down to the lower grounds. The scenery will simply take your breath away and we will ride through some of the most beautiful parts of the island. Today's ride is a real highlight! After the ride we will transfer 45min to Sanur. Our beautiful accommodation in Sanur is located right on the beach again. (B L)

Day 06 | Mount Batur to Ubud | cycle 35km
Today's ride will take us from the outer crater rim of Mount Batur all the way down to Ubud, we will cycle mostly downhill on a wide mixture of terrain, the ride is a little easier today but the scenery is amazing with the classic rice paddy fields the beautiful local villages. We should arrive in Ubud around 03pm. Time enough for some sightseeing and exploring of Ubud. (B L)

Day 07 | Hike to the summit of Mount Batur | hike 2,5 hours
Today we will conquer the Volcano of Mount Batur. Mount Batur or Gunung Batur is an iconic, still active volcano that rises to 1,717m or 5,633 feet. Our guide will pick us up at your accommodation around 2am and we will start trekking around 3.30am. Mount Batur can be conquered in around two and a half hours. Climbing Mount Batur offers a rare opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable sunrise from the top of an active volcano. The views of Bali from the top are simply stunning. After reaching the summit and witnessing the sunrise (weather permitting) we will hike around the three volcano craters - a truly spectacular experience! Our guide will carry water, snacks and breakfast for you to make this an unforgettable experience. We should be back down around 09am. After the hike we will visit the Toya Devasya hot springs. These amazing hot springs are a great way for relaxing and rejuvenating after our trek. We should be back in Ubud around noon. The afternoon is yours to relax by the hotel's swimming pool or do some more exploring in Ubud. In the evening we will head out for a final dinner together and celebrate a job well done!

Day 08 | Departure Day
Today is departure day and there are no activities planned. Check out time is noon.  Please let us know your time of departure and we will arrange an included airport transfer or transfer to your next destination in Bali (Southern beach area's or Ubud). (B)
