Discover Lombok - 3 Days
This tour is part of our new 'longer distance touring cycling programs' that we are offering for 2020.
This 3-day ride will let you discover the most beautiful scenery that South Lombok has to offer. Lombok has really great roads with little or no traffic which makes it perfect for long-distance and touring cycling. On this tour, we will cycle on small paved coastal and mountain roads all along the South of Lombok. The riding is not technically difficult but you will need good stamina to fully enjoy the 220km that we will cover on the 3 days. On Day 01 we can either pick you up at the airport in Lombok (please arrive with one of the first flights) or at Mataram or Kuta beach (07 am) from where we will transfer to Mataram where our cycling adventure begins. On Day 03 we can drop you off at the airport (ETA 5 pm) or at Kuta Beach (ETA 5 pm).
DAY 01 | Mataram to Dessert Point to Gili Gede | 80km
In the morning we will cycle on beautiful paved coastal roads for about 55km from the city of Mataram all the way to Dessert Point where we will enjoy a well deserved break. Among surfers, Bangko-Bangko beach or better known as Desert Point is a stunning beach with very challenging waves. This beach is even included in the top 10 best beaches for surfing. It takes a steep climb and some off road sections to reach this remote place. In the afternoon we cycle back for about 20km to a small local harbor where a short 10-minute local boat ride will bring us to our accommodation on the island of Gili Gede where we will spend the night. This is a very laid back and quiet Island, the perfect spot to unwind and relax after the first day of riding. (L)
DAY 02 | Gili Gede to Selong Selanak Beach | 70km
An early morning boat ride will bring us back to the main island where we start cycling. It's a challenging but oooh so rewarding ride today. The first 5km are flat and then we will climb for about 10km all on rolling hills. This is one of the most amazing roads we found in Indonesia! After 65km we will reach Selong Beach where we have a late lunch and a well-deserved break. After lunch, it's another 24km until we reach Kuta where we spend the night. Please note that the cycling the whole distance between Gili Gede is very challenging. Most of our riders enjoy the option to finish at Selong Beach. (B L)
DAY 03 | Koeta Beach to Pink Beach | 70km
Another amazing day of riding! Today we will cycle for about 60km all the way from our accommodation to Pink Beach. There are many remote beaches along the way and the views are stunning! We should reach Pink Beach in the early afternoon and will spend a few hours here to swim and relax and discover the various remote beaches here before we drop you back off at the airport or Koeta town where the tour concludes. If you fly back to Bali we recommend booking an evening flight, not earlier then 5.40 pm (accommodation on Day 3 is not included).

OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE
We hope everyone is staying as healthy as possible in the current global pandemic situation.
Infinity is scheduled to reopen around 2020 December. We realize the beginning will be very slow but we are eager to get things started again. We do have decided considering the current situation that until further notice we will run all of our short breaks and longer tour bookings as private departures. So each booking will have their own private guide, driver, and minivan (min 2 pax). Our crews will also take a COVID rapid test one or two days before the start of each tour.
Of course, we understand the uncertainty of the situation and therefore we are offering all of our guests that book on a multiple-day tour with us in 2020 and 2021 the option to reschedule to a later date if needed and a two-year future travel credit for the entire amount of any deposit or full payments that have been made to us. Please note that the cancelation and rescheduling must come in fourteen days before the departure date of your tour.
Despite the difficulties ahead, one day this will eventually be over, and we hope all of you will be coming back, sooner or later. When this happens, we are ready for you!
We wish everyone the best during these uncertain times.
Stay safe and kind regards,
Team Infinity Mountainbiking
