Bali MTB Boot Camp – 7 days adventure for the true mountain bikers

This trip is all about mountain biking the very best trails in Bali! There is uphill, fast downhill and everything else in between. We will be on the bikes for 5 days in a row on this beautiful island.

Here are the exciting activities to enjoy on this tour:

 

Day 1 – Welcome dinner at Canggu

After a long journey to Bali, our team will pick you up at the airport and drive you to your accommodation. There is no activity during the day, time to relax and recover. In the evening, we will head out for a local meal where you’ll get to meet fellow travelers and our team!

You can also take a walk around the accommodation as it is located in the popular Batubolong area. There are lots of good bars, beach clubs, small boutiques, great restaurants, and an amazing beach here.

Day 2 – Relaxing first ride up to Jatiluwih

It’s time to hit the trails! The ride starts right from your accommodation to the volcano located on central Bali. We will ride through local villages, rice paddy fields, and mountain scenery for about 50 km. The ride finished at UNESCO listed world heritage – Jatiluwih rice terraces.

Day 3 – Adrenaline rush mtb from Bedugul to the coast

We will start riding from the region of Bedugul at 1400m to the coast with a view of Lake Beratan. You may expect a 45km of Bali’s amazing single track! Your accommodation will be located in a beautiful resort in the middle of the countryside.

Day 4 – Enduro ride from Penulisan to Tulamben 

A morning ride around Mt. Batur Caldera will be technical and have lots of fun in it! The view from above is amazing where you can see the ocean on one side, and the three mountains on the other side (Batur, Abang, and Agung).

There is a section of 10km rolling hills with a few short but steep climbs and also a 16km downhill rush from 1600m abs to the ocean. The ride will end up at Bali’s quiet North coast – Tulamben, Kubu.

Day 5 – Snorkeling and diving at Tulamben

In the morning, an optional dive or snorkeling adventure can be arranged. The most famous sight here is the USAT Liberty Shipwreck from World War 2. The wreck is pretty broken up but you can still see the guns, toilets, anchor chain, etc. What a great way to start your day!

Day 5 – Downhill ride from Mt. Abang to the coast

Today ride starts from the volcanic core of the island. From the foot of Mt. Abang, the ride is 12km downhill oriented which will end at the coast. We will ride through local forest and rice paddy fields.

Day 6 – Morning ride around Mt. Batur Crater

We will ride around the actual crater of the volcano on a wide mixture of terrain with stunning views. The end of the ride will be at a black lava stream where the latest eruption happened.

Day 6 – Afternoon ride to Ubud

After lunch, we will transfer you back up to the rim and cycle mostly downhill for 35km on a wide mixture of terrain down to Ubud. You will overnight in Ubud at a beautiful resort in the middle of the rice paddy fields.
