Itinerary
Day 1 | Tabanan Countryside | Arrival Day
Upon your arrival at the airport, our team will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it. The drive to Tabanan takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. The day does not have any scheduled activities, allowing you to rest and recover from your trip. In the evening, we will take you to a local restaurant where you will meet our team and other travelers. Our location in Bali is situated amidst rice paddy fields in a secluded area. (D)
Day 2 | Batu Karu Temple to Tabanan | 55km
Let's get ready to hit the trails! We'll be cycling all the way back to our charming accommodation, so no need to pack up today. We'll start with an early transfer to Mount Batu Karu, which is the second highest mountain in Bali at 2576m. We'll visit the beautiful Batu Karu Temple at the volcano's foot, and we'll provide traditional Balinese clothing, which is necessary to enter the temple. This area of Bali is off the beaten path and is sure to take your breath away. We'll start our ride from the temple to the UNESCO-listed rice paddy fields of Jatiluwih, where we'll take our first break. Then, we'll ride through the most amazing rice paddy fields and local villages all the way back to the coast. For lunch, we'll enjoy the delicious 'Babi Gulling' (sucking pig), which is a favorite dish of the Balinese. After the ride, we'll visit the famous Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali's most beautiful temples, built on a rock in the ocean. During high tide, the sea surrounds the temple. (B L)
Day 3 | Bali | Tegalalang | Tirta Empul | Cycling from Batur to Ubud | 35km
In the morning we will visit two cultural attractions located just outside of Ubud. These attractions are the breathtaking rice field terrace of Tegalalang and the Tirta Empul Temple, which has been considered a sacred spring with healing powers for over a thousand years.
Today's cycling adventure will commence from the outer crater rim of Mount Batur and conclude in Ubud. The journey will predominantly be downhill and encompass a variety of terrains. Despite the ease of the ride, the scenery remains awe-inspiring. Our accommodation is conveniently situated a mere 5-minute distance from the lively city center of Ubud, which we will reach by 3 pm. This grants us plenty of time to explore the city and its attractions. (B L)
Day 4 | Yogyakarta | Mount Merapi | Off Road Jeep Tour | Bike Ride | 20km
Today, our destination is Java! You can take a 1-hour domestic flight to the Special Region of Yogyakarta in Central Java. Once you arrive, we'll transport you by car to Kinahrejo village, which is located at the foot of Mount Merapi and is only about a 1.5-hour drive from the airport. From there, we'll take a 2-hour 4x4 jeep ride (included in the package) to explore some of the villages that were damaged during the 2010 eruption and the lava fields in the Mount Merapi countryside. After the jeep ride, we'll hop on our bikes and begin our ride through the stunning villages and countryside, ending at Plaosan Temple, which we'll explore with our guide.Later on, we'll head to the highlight of the day: Prambanan Temple. This masterpiece from the ninth century is said to be the largest and most beautiful Hindu Temple complex in Indonesia. After our visit, we'll transport you to our beautiful accommodation where we'll be staying for the next two nights. (B L)
Day 5 | Yogyakarta | Borobudur Sunrise | City Tour | Leisure Time
The tour starts early in the morning at 3:30 AM. We will first head to Puthuk Setumbu viewpoint to witness the sunrise and see the temples from a unique perspective at an altitude of approximately 450 meters. Then, we will visit a peculiar church shaped like a chicken before continuing on to Borobudur for a guided tour. Prepare to be amazed by one of the world's greatest monuments and the largest single Buddhist structure, which has been a world heritage site since the 8th century. On the way back to our accommodation, we will stop by Kraton Kotagede, the Old Mosque, and the local market. Finally, we will return to our accommodation around 2 PM and have the rest of the day to ourselves. (B L)
Day 6 | Yogyakarta to East Java by Train | Bromo
Prepare to depart Central Java for East Java on a 4-hour train ride. The journey promises a picturesque view of the Javanese countryside. Upon your arrival at the Mojokerto train station, our team will be ready to transfer you by car for another 3 hours to Cemoro Lawang village, positioned at a height of 2200m above sea level in the flank of Mount Bromo National Park. Remember to bring some warm clothing as it can get quite chilly at night. (B L)
Day 7 | East Java | Sunrise over Mount Bromo | Cycle around the Mount Bromo National Park | 25km
Our day will commence bright and early at 3 AM as we embark on an exciting journey in a 4x4 car to Penanjakan Point. This is the perfect vantage point to witness the captivating sunrise over Mount Bromo National Park. Once we've basked in the awe-inspiring beauty of this natural wonder, we'll head back to our accommodation for a hearty breakfast and prepare for a thrilling 3-hour bike ride around the crater of Mount Bromo and down to the sea of sand. The uphill sections may prove challenging due to the altitude, but we'll take it easy, ensuring everyone can keep up. After the bike ride, we'll hike up the 200 steps to the summit of Mount Bromo's crater. In the afternoon, we'll chauffeur you to Surabaya town, where we'll spend the night. (B L D)
Day 8 | Kalimantan Borneo | Jungle Lodge
After our exploration of Java, we'll confidently journey towards Kalimantan, another vast island in Indonesia. Upon arrival in Balikpapan via a domestic flight, the lodge crew will be there to welcome you. The lodge will be our home for the next two days, where we'll embark on orientation walks and share lunch and dinner. (B L D)
Day 9 | Trekking | Borneo Tropical Rainforest | Canopy Bridge | Jungle Lodge
After breakfast, we will explore the forest around the lodge and pay a visit to the orangutans and sunbears sanctuary. Following a delicious lunch, we will take you on a soft jungle-trekking and climbing experience to the canopy bridge in Bukit Bingkarai. Here, you will have the chance to observe the Borneo tropical rainforest from above, which is an unforgettable experience. Later on, we will head to Sungai Hitam (Black River) for some canoeing where you can observe the proboscis monkeys and other wildlife. To end the day, we will have a delightful dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the lodge. (B L D)
Day 10 | Transfer to Bali
After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, we will make our way to the airport for a domestic flight back to Bali. There will be a short stopover in Surabaya before we arrive in the afternoon and transfer you to our comfortable accommodation in Sanur. The remainder of the day is yours to spend as you please. (B)
Day 11 | Morning Half Day Ride around Ubud 20km | Monkey Forest | Ceking RiceFields | Afternoon Ride from Ubud to Sanur | 20km
We will embark on an exciting cycling adventure through Ubud - the very location where the famous movie 'Eat, Pray, Love' was filmed. Our morning ride will end with a visit to Monkey Forest, followed by a transfer to the breathtaking Ceking rice fields in North Ubud. While enjoying a scrumptious lunch, we'll be treated to the mesmerizing scenery. Later in the day, we'll journey back to Sanur from Ubud, traveling on a mix of local trails and paved roads with minimal traffic. Our destination is our magnificent Sanur accommodation, conveniently located on the beach. (B L)
Day 12 | Flores | Rinca Islands | Kalong Island | Liveaboard
Today, we will embark on a domestic flight to the charming town of Labuan Bajo, situated on the picturesque island of Flores. Upon arrival, we will immediately proceed to the harbor to begin our exhilarating two-day boat journey. Our first destination is Rinca Island, where we will be accompanied by a knowledgeable local ranger on an invigorating afternoon trek to Wae Waso. The dry forest, which we will traverse, is home to not just the famed Komodo dragons but also other fascinating creatures such as deer, wild buffalo, long-tailed macaques, wild boar, and a plethora of birds. Keep your eyes peeled for the young Komodo dragons perched up in the trees! As evening approaches, we will proceed to Kalong Island, where we will bear witness to the breathtaking sight of thousands of bats soaring out of their nests. Afterward, we will enjoy a delectable dinner and spend the night on the boat. (B L D)
Day 13 | Flores | Komodo Island | Snorkeling in Pink Beach | Liveaboard
In the early morning, we will cruise to Komodo Island and disembark at the pier. A local ranger will lead us as we explore this nature reserve, trekking to Banunggulung and walking through the dry forest. We may even encounter the Komodo dragon and other wild animals like deer, wild boars, and various birds such as leser-sulfur-crested-cockatoo and collared kingfisher. Later, we will head to Pink Beach for swimming and snorkeling among the colorful tropical fish and unspoiled coral reefs. In the late afternoon, we will proceed to Bidadari Island and spend the night on the boat. (B L D)
Day 14 | Debark in Labuan Bajo | Fly back to Bali
After a thrilling adventure, we'll sail back to Labuan Bajo harbor where a mouth-watering breakfast will be served on board. You'll then be escorted to the airport for your flight back to Bali. Our expedition will conclude in the afternoon once we arrive back in Bali. Our Team will drop you off anywhere in the South of Bali or in Ubud. (B)

Single Room Suplement
The sleeping arrangements are for double rooms (1 big bed) or twin-share (2 single beds). If you are a solo rider you will be paired up with someone of the same sex, in this case you will not need to pay the single room supplement. Single room supplement is upon request and depending on availability in the jungle lodge and on the boat.

Cycling Conditions
Bikes
2023-24 Polygon Siskiu xc or trail full suspension bikes with dropper post.
The bikes come with flat (standard) or Shimano SPD (by request) pedals.
Departures
Pick your own tour dates! For a minimum of two people booking you can create your own tour dates. Choose the dates that you would like to travel and as long as you are happy to open the tour for other people to join in and we have availability we can confirm the new dates for you.
