Mount Merapi to Plaosan Temple

This ride boasts of two thrilling sections, with a support car shuttling us back up in between. You wouldn't want to miss our final stop at the stunning 9th century Buddhist Plaosan Temple. This hidden gem is a must-see and definitely worth a visit. We'll take care of arranging your transportation back to your accommodation in Yogjakarta (45min) or Prambanan (10min) from the temple.
If you're a fan of fast and flowing off-road terrain with plenty of single and double tracks, then this ride is perfect for you. We'll start early in the morning and transfer you from your hotel in Yogyakarta to the high flanks of Mount Merapi. You'll be in awe of the stunning views of the volcano, weather permitting, of course. From there, we'll head to the Plaosan Temple for an unforgettable adventure.
Inclusions
Charming local mountain bike guide, mountain bike hire, helmet, gloves, lunch, local snacks and fruit, drinking water and isotonic drinks, pick up and drop off from your hotel in Yogyakarta or Prambanan.

Blue with some sections Red.
Intermediate: Tours are suitable for riders with good fitness level. Previous mountain bike experience is recommended. Trail surfaces may include uneven terrain and narrow trails, some single track, with occasional obstacles (roots, rocks, sand). Hills and descents are moderate and require some skill. Riders with minimal mountain bike experience but who have road biking skills or a strong fitness level, along with an adventurous spirit, should be suitable for an intermediate tour.

Advanced: Tours are suitable for experienced mountain bikers only with great fitness and strong bike handling skills. Riding is primarily on rough double track and single track. Sections of trail can be challenging with frequent ascents and descents of significant length. Trail conditions can change rapidly due to weather conditions and natural elements. Please make sure you are not choosing a tour that is too difficult for your skill level. This is your vacation, not army camp! Expect to ride about 4-5 hours per day, covering an average of 45km. Style
Great downhill orientated off road trail ride, ride able for anyone that's up for a challenge, no big drops or anything crazy but lots and lots of fun!
Cycling Conditions
We cycle about 35km on beautiful fast flowing single track and lot's of dirt track through the jungle, local forest, fruit plantations and charming villages. There are a few sections on small paved roads to connect the different trails. You should have good bike skills and fitness to be able to fully enjoy this ride. You should wear comfortable shoes appropriate for cycling for this ride.
Pick Up & Drop Off
Yogyakarta area's: 07.00am, Prambanan area's: 07.45am, expect to be back at your hotel around 03.00pm (this may be variable by group depending on how fast we cycle and how the traffic conditions are on the way back).

Prices & Availability
The price for our day rides depends on how many people are joining the ride in the same minivan:
- 1 Person: US$150 or 2,250,000IDR per person - (full suspension bike)
- 2-4 Persons: US$90 or 1,300,000IDR per person - (full suspension bike)
** Private groups of 5 people or more please contact us for group prices and availability.
Payments can be done through:
- PayPal (US$, the Indonesian Rupiah is not supported by PayPal)
- Bank or Wise transfer (IDR)
- Cash to your guide on the morning of your ride in IDR (we can only accept cash payments in local currency)
