Itinerary

Day 1 | Sanur | Arrival Day | 20km

Our team will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign bearing your name. The drive to Sanur will take about 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Our hotel is located on the beach and boasts a beautiful walking path where you can stroll. At 3 pm, we'll set out for a 15km warm-up ride along Sanur's beach and back roads. In the evening, we'll treat you to a welcome dinner. (D)

Day 2 | Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan | 40km

Over the next two days, we'll explore the neighboring islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. Our journey will begin at Sanur Harbor, where we'll board a fast boat (45 minutes) to Nusa Penida. Once there, we'll take a cycling trip to visit the fascinating natural wonders of 'Broken Beach' and the 'Billabong'. Afterward, we'll head to Crystal Bay for a late lunch. Later, we'll take a car to the harbor and board a local boat (20 minutes) to Nusa Lembongan, where we'll spend the night at a lovely beachfront accommodation. (B L)

Day 3 | Nusa Lembongan | 25km

We have an exciting snorkeling excursion scheduled at Manta Point, already included in our itinerary. Upon our return to the shore, we will embark on a cycling adventure around the island and explore some of its most beautiful beaches. Our day on Nusa Lembongan will conclude with an enthralling trip to the mangrove forest, where we can witness local fishermen harvesting and preparing seaweed. The rest of the afternoon is yours to spend leisurely on the beach. (B L)

Day 4 | Mount Abang to Amed | 50km

We will be taking the fast boat back to Bali at 8am today. Our journey will begin from Mount Abang in the center of Bali and end in Amed, which is located in the North-East of the island. After a gradual warm-up climb, we will travel through the rough center of the island, cycling past local fruit and cashew plantations. This area of Bali is dry and receives very little rain. The first 25km of our journey will be off-road, but we will then join the main road for the remaining 25km to reach the charming fishing village of Amed.

If you're up for a challenge, we recommend cycling all the way to the hotel, but be prepared for a few steep climbs along the way! Our support vehicle will always be there to assist you. Our accommodation is situated on the beach, and there are plenty of opportunities for snorkeling. In the evening, we will head out with a local fisherman in a traditional wooden boat to catch the sunset from the water and perhaps catch a few fish. (B L)

Day 5 | Snorkeling in Amed | Free afternoon in Pemuteran | Free Day

On Day 5, we will be able to go snorkeling at the Japanese shipwreck in the morning. The shipwreck is located near the beach and is only 6m deep. Afterward, we will travel to Pemuteran, the North-West of Bali. The drive takes approximately 3 hours, but we will make stops to see various sights. We will have a free afternoon in Pemuteran where we will be for the next two nights. (B L)

Day 6 | Pemuteran to the local harbour | Snorkeling in Menjangan (Deer) Island | 30km

Let's get ready for another exciting cycling adventure! Today, we'll take off from our hotel and make our way to the nearby harbor, where we'll be treated to an incredible view of the East Java volcanoes thanks to the Bali Strait's close proximity. Later in the afternoon, we'll embark on a thrilling snorkeling expedition at Menjangan Island, famous for its spectacular coral reef gardens and diverse ecosystem. This spot is a hot favorite for both snorkelers and divers. We'll have the option to cycle back to the hotel or use the car for transportation. (B L))

Day 7 | Jatiluwih to Tanah Lot | 50km

We'll start our day with an early transfer to Mount Batu Karu (2276m) and Jatiluwih, an area of Bali that isn't often visited by tourists but is truly breathtaking. We'll cycle approximately 45-50km through stunning rice paddy scenery from Jatiluwih to the coast. After our cycling adventure, we'll visit the famous Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali's most beautiful temples built on a rock in the ocean. At high tide, the sea surrounds the temple, making it an even more impressive sight. In one day, we'll get to experience two world heritage sites, the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, and Tanah Lot Temple. What more could you ask for on your last day of biking? (B L)

Day 8 | Departure Day

It's departure day, and there are no scheduled activities. Check-out time is at noon. Kindly inform us of your departure time, and we'll arrange a complimentary airport transfer or transfer to your next destination in South Bali. (B)

Review

Hi Sam & Nita and team Infinity, Just wanted to write and say what a truly fantastic week I had in the company of the amazing Ming and Wayan, our supportive driver. I was a little trepidatious as I booked on my own and as a single, 50 something woman with not as much mountain biking experience, I wondered how that would work. From the very first day, I needn't have worried. Ming was the perfect guide in every way - supportive, patient and caring when needed, professional and organised and also encouraged me to challenge myself well beyond my previous boundaries. As a result, we covered routes I would never have thought I could do, saw amazing sights and scenery and had a total blast. It was one of the best things I've ever experienced and I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
Thanks for an awesome mountain bike trip. Infinity were fantastic, totally reliable and easy to deal with. The guide Ming was absolutely great. So friendly, informative, fun and just a really top bloke. The driver Lila was also fantastic. Every time we pulled up he was magically there with cold drinks, bananas, energy bars and other treats, plus an ice cold towel which was just outstanding. The trip was well thought out and planned. The accommodation was good and the best thing about your choices is location right at the beaches and accessible to nearby warungs, bars & shops. It is great to experience the 'other' side of Bali and real Indonesian culture in the little villages we visited in the mountains and on the coast. I'm back in Australia now in the cold winter weather and already missing Bali and its friendly people. I'd definitely ride with Infinity again and I hope to be back next year, probably with more friends. Regards, Mark.
